Anxiety post

What’s up strangers? Anyone else struggle with an anxiety disorder in communication school? Well I do. It’s currently around 3:30 p.m. and I’m sitting in my film class. That’s not causing me anxiety. What is causing me anxiety is the women’s volleyball game I have to go to at 7 p.m. You see, I got screwed into taking a journalism class with my school’s newspaper and this week (and next week) I’m with the Sports section. As you may have put together, tonight I have to cover the volleyball game. Now, I know next to nothing about sports, and even more nothing about volleyball. I’ve never written about sports in my life. Yet tonight, I have to sit through the whole game, take notes, and interview two coaches and probably one player. Catch on yet? I have to talk to strangers. Skip a few lines if you don’t want some fresh t.m.i. Here’s how bad my anxiety is today: anxious diarrhea. Yeah. Let that sink in for a minute. Let me put this into a little perspective, I took a public speaking course my first semester here that almost killed me, literally. Take that and multiply it to whatever the largest number you can type into your calculator is. That’s where I’m at. There’s no way out of this either, I have to do it. It is so hard to explain this kind of fear to someone who doesn’t have it. And yes, I take medication for it. Medicine does not always help. So I’m going to sit here and try to stomach a Pop-tart. I’ll be in this acute state of panic until probably midnight. If there are no posts forever after this, you connect the dots.
